Family Tri 2013

Ok, back to the order of events.  Four weeks ago the girls and Andy participated in the Family Tri.  Sadly they have announced that they won't host this event next year, but maybe by 2015, Charlie and Jonathan will be able to participate. (If Jonathan is walking yet) ;)  Here are a few pictures we got as they raced by:

The boys and I hustled from spot to spot, but by the time we got from the bike entrance to the run exit, Abby was gone.  Here are Andy and Ashley though:

Then we hustled to the finish, yes, Abby was already finished.  Somebody is competitive. :)

Afterwards, the kids and I stayed for the Party in the Park.  I stood in the 5 hour line (ok, maybe it only took 1 hour) with Abby in the 120 degree heat (or something) for the rock climbing wall.  Then I didn't get a picture. :)  Most of the time Ashley and Charlie were doing this:

Charlie wanted to go on all the slides and since I was waiting with Abby, Ashley was the designated taker.

After the rock climbing wall, they hit the face painting tent.  Ashley and Charlie (clones) do not like it on their faces, however.

Here is a video of one of the inflatables we did about 47 times.  There was a fun guy working it who made sure each turn was a full-on competition.  My kind of guy.  Here are a few videos:

 

It was close, but Ashley couldn't quite pull out the 'W'.

Ashley was a great sport, considering it was probably intended for preschool sized kids.
