Denver

The girls and I (and Jonathan) got to go to Denver in September.  Although Mom was feeling "pretty good", we still decided to take a partial gaggle so as to not overwhelm. :)  I got a great deal on the tickets!  This meant, however, getting up rather early for our flight.  I convinced Andy to let us take the train.  He was resistant, until I told him what time we would need to leave the house. :)  Here is the train station.  Very dark.  The time reads 4:13AM.  We're on time!

Happy camper on the train!  He's like his mama - he loves a road trip, no matter what time it is!

The girls are happy too.  They just don't express it so readily that early in the morning.  They're more like their Aunt Alli. ;)

Eliza, Laurel and the cousins came over one evening for dinner.  The girls go crazy for cousin play times.  Here they are being goofy.

This is the sunset sky from Dad and Marge's backyard.  Bronco blue and orange! :)  They have amazing sunset skies.

Dad feeding Jonny some apple dessert.  This is still when Jonathan couldn't handle solid foods - or so I thought.

And while we're having no regard that this is a BABY we are dealing with, Jonathan started climbing the stairs at Mom and Bill's.

We woke up Saturday morning to find the neighbor's house TP'ed.  I took pictures while Dad, Marge, and the girls cleaned up. :) (the neighbors were out of town)

They filled 2 trash bags!

We got a great picture of the kids with Mom.  Ashley is holding a bunny that Grammie gave her when she was born.

A group shot with Dad and Marge the day we left.

While we were waiting for our flight at the airport, (which we were VERY early to, wanting to avoid a repeat of the missed flight trip) Abby decided she wanted to wear the Ergo and carry Jonathan.  She loved it.  He seems a little worried. :)

We are getting spoiled with trips to Denver this year!  Charlie gets his turn to go in November.  Reality is skewed because it's only been a month since our trip and I am already experiencing withdrawals!

Pics and Where's Jonny?

Here are a couple of pictures from Abby's first soccer game.  She is loving it!  She actually reminds us a lot of Ashley at this age - which wasn't expected.  She is just as concerned with color coordinating as Ashley was.

Jonathan and Daddy happened to match last Sunday. :)  I couldn't let the opportunity pass without a picture.  Someone at church said Jonny's hair was getting as long as Meatloaf's.  I can't say I was ever that in to him, or remember what he looked like, but I'm doubting that was a compliment.  Maybe it's time for a haircut. :(

Ashley taught Jonathan how to escape from his cage.  It was cute the first time, but it is not cute when I lock him up and expect him to stay put.  Today though, he (maybe) learned a lesson when he tried to escape and got stuck.  Here's a game of Where's Jonathan?

Seems he tried to make his usual move around the gate and slipped part-way under the couch and got stuck.  I think he was wondering why I was just sitting there taking his picture instead of helping him.  Don't worry, Ashley soon came in and freed him.

Don't feel sorry for him.  Being trapped probably saved him from destroying something or someone else.
