Christmas wrap-up (or un-wrap)

Ok, I figured I should post a few pictures of Christmas before I move on to 2010 happenings. Charlie basically slept through everything, and what he was awake for, the girls dominated. Poor kid couldn't even play with his own presents. This guitar was supposed to be for Charlie:

As was this toy:

You get the idea...

Charlie made a couple of attempts at a take-over:

but when those failed, he resorted to taking their jewelry doll and mentos hostage. They didn't seem to notice.

In fact, as what seemed like a cruel trick, we got Charlie this hat and gloves set which seemed to hinder him. He did not appreciate that.

He's thinking, "nice, they won't even put socks on me, but they'll bind up my hands with these things and put this funny looking hat on my head."

Ashley got this "American Girl" doll. She loves to dress up like it. I'm thinking maybe I'll just start buying the doll clothes I want Ashley to wear. It might just work!

We went to Bend later that evening and did it all again on the 26th. We got to celebrate with Jim and his WIFE Becky! It was nice to have the boy:girl ratio finally even. This is Becky:

Becky offered to watch Charlie while Andy and I took our traditional walk up the Butte. We certainly did not walk extra slow or stop to take lots of pictures in order to drag out the length of time we were gone. :)

Then we came back and took the girls ice skating. Abby had never been before - not even roller skating - and her motto from the beginning was "I can do it by myself". She actually did ok. She fell down right away and it took her quite awhile to get back up, but she caught on fast. Ashley had been once before, and she was cautiously confident. She liked to instruct Abby how to do it, but she didn't leave Andy's side.

It was a great Christmas and 2009. We are looking forward to what 2010 has in store!

It did happen quick. They met in January and the wedding was in July. I could have sworn I told you about the wedding though. Sorry, dude. Jim got married. :)
