Fall Fun

I started this post awhile ago and never finished it.  No big stories here, just some pictures of fall festivities.

Pumpkin carving:

A trip to the apple farm:

Another trip to the corn maze.  This year was harder than ever.  Fortunately we went before rainy season came so we avoided the mud, but we went in circles like never before.  This is at the beginning.  (notice the happy faces)

Punching out one of the clues we found.  I think we only found 3 out of 12 clues.

Much, much, much later.  Faces were not so happy, and legs were much more tired.  It's hard to give up in the middle of a corn field.  After you finally give up, you still have to find your way out.

Jonathan in Charlie's Halloween costume.

Trick-or-treating with the crew.  Ashley was a black cat (again), Abby was Abby Cadabby, and Charlie was Elmo.

Just before Halloween, the power went out again.  It was the same pole in our backyard where it came disconnected before.  There is a funny story about how Ashley was the one to diagnose the problem, but I'll leave that for another day.  Here are the guys fixing the pole:

And Charlie in his first row seat for the 2 hours it took them to fix it:

Oh the excitement that a power outage can bring.

Is Charlie eating dirt in picture 7?

No, probably some corn from the ground. We forgot to take food and water so the fact that it was a CORN maze was convenient.
