Random Pics

I'm being lazy here and posting a bunch of non-related pictures in one post.  There aren't really any big stories behind them.

Charlie finally moved to his big bed!  This was a huge accomplishment especially because he was very clear that he had no interest in his big bed ever since he found out the new baby would want his crib.  We finally talked him into it and he does like it.  (although using the threat of him having to move back to his crib - like if he gets out of bed - is not a threat at all)

For April Fools Day, the girls made these "sliders" made to look like mini hamburgers.  They took them out to Andy and told him our neighbor Dora brought them over (very believable), and he almost fell for it.

For those of you daring enough to make these, the "buns" are vanilla wafters topped with a little honey to make the sesame seeds stick.  The "meat" is a peppermint patty.  The "cheese" is marshmallow creme mixed with food coloring (gross), and the ketchup is red cake decorating gel.  Yes, they look gross (once you know what they are), no, I did not try one, and yes, the girls ate all of them.

Here is a token Easter picture to show my Easter outfit part 7.  I'm sure glad vertical stripes never go out of style! (don't tell me if they have)  Charlie actually has on the same outfit as last year.  We'll see how long we can keep that up.  :)  (despite his pants looking like capris in this picture, it wasn't that bad)

The lady on the left is our neighbor & dear friend Clarys.  She lives across the street with her daughter & we were so thrilled she came to church with us.

Ashley LOVES leaving and receiving little notes.  I often come to bed and find a note on my pillow that she snuck in there.  One night I came in our bathroom to get ready for bed and found this:

She explained the next morning that she only had a pen and no paper and she "wasn't available to get up."  Nice.

Ashley is doing Oregon Spring soccer which equals soccer in the rain.  She likes it, but I think this might be her last season.  She is really wanting to get into more theatrical stuff (besides what the soccer players pull), and is not sad about giving up soccer to do it.

Abby had to memorize the books of the Bible for her Awanas.  When she did it, Ashley got letter stickers and put them on her shirt:.  Free personalization!

Charlie is not supposed to get out of bed once he is in for the night, but a couple of times we have gone in to check on him before we go to bed and found evidence that he has been up.  Here is one of those instances - we did not put him to bed with his car slippers over his footie pajamas.

Sometimes I think he's actually trying to get sent back to his crib.  Nice try, Charlie.
