Extra Curricular

For all of our sanity, we do whatever we can to burn energy during the day.  Ashley & Abby are both doing gymnastics.  They love it.  For different reasons.  Abby is seriously part monkey and will try anything.  I love this about her, although it does make me cringe.  Form is generally about 50th on her list, trying something that no one else can do is first. 

Ashley loves the artistic side of gymnastics and form is definitely 1st.  This will keep her perfecting the same thing over and over, while Abby has moved on, nevermind she lands on her head every time. (hypothetical)
 

Ashley is also playing soccer again.  This is the first year they move from "kick and chase" to regular soccer.  It is much more enjoyable to play and to watch.  :)  Here are a few pics from her first 2 games.

Charlie's extra curricular activities include learning how to drive and dating. :)

Our friend Ian got his Mercedes car from his parents that he had when he was a kid.  It's amazing.  He drives it on the street with his kids and it can probably go the posted speed limit in the neighborhood.  He gets lots of looks - but he is used to that.  Here are the kids lined up for their turns:
